TS EN ISO 50001 Energy Management System
In today’s world where energy is becoming more and more important, TS EN ISO 50001 Energy Management System, which is based on the efficient use of energy, is a Management System that can be applied to all kinds of businesses from small to large in every sector and can be carried out either alone or in integration with other management systems. EYS is based on determining energy policies of organizations, managing energy consumption within the framework of energy management programs created in line with their goals and objectives, and ensuring improvements by evaluating the performance of the energy management system.

Our university has created an Energy Management System in accordance with the requirements of the TS EN ISO 50001 standard, taking into account its features and needs. With the awareness of carrying the responsibility of the Energy Management System, we are committed to continuously improving our energy performance in all our fields of activity. To achieve this aim we are making an effort,
- To reduce the use of energy and water in all our activities,
- To continuously increase the awareness of energy efficiency in our university by organizing continuous training/seminars,
- To monitor and to report continuously by determining energy consumption targets,
- To identify areas of energy efficiency improvement for conducting energy efficiency audits regularly,
- To follow the current legislation on energy and water use and to fulfill its requirements,
- To include energy performance improvements during the design stages of projects,
- To purchase and effectively use energy efficient products and services.
